The annual Mini Orange Festival of Tennis took place at Corby Indoor Tennis Centre on Saturday 5th January, which invloved 4 player teams from Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Leicestershire, Northants, Nottinghamshire, Hereford & Worcestershire and a team from Corby itself.
The final positions were as below:
Murray Group - 1st Cambridgeshire, 2nd Norfolk, 3rd Leicestershire and 4th Corby.
Djokovic Group - 1sr Hertfordshire, 2nd Northants, 3rd Nottinghamshire and 4th Hereford & Worcestershire.
In the semi-finals Herts crushed Norfolk 4-0 and Northants just got through on sets over Cambs. The final wasn't any closer, with our players beating Northants by the same 4-0 score line.
A fantastic effort from our 4 young players, Oliver Tarvet, Andre Raath, Annabel Davis and Chris Smith, who were looked after on the day by their captain Charlotte Gibbons.
