During the 10&U event at The Wigmore Sports Moor Park Junior Open Tournament the spectators were suprised to suddenly hear that Roger Draper - Chief Executive of The LTA would be 'popping in' shortly.
Roger, on his way back to London from Nottingham, arrived as the Girls 10&U final was coming to an end and after having a tour of the Moor Park Mansion and watching some of the tennis on the superb grass courts, presented the girls with their awards. Roger spoke briefly about how tennis was growing nationally and how important events like Moor Park were to achieve this growth.
This is the 3rd year that Moor Park has hosted the Wigmore Sports Junior Open and this year the tournament was awarded a Grade 3 status and attracted around 160 players from across the country.
