Our 14U Girls are National Champions and our 14U Boys came 3rd.
The 14&U AEGON County Cup concluded last weekend with the boys' championship going to Surrey and the girls' to Hertfordshire.
This is an almighty result! The girls beat Surrey, Warwickshire and Kent to take the title and put in some awesome performances. A huge thank you to Teresa Lilley and Josie Singer for such great Captaincy.
The boys could not have fought harder for their result. Wins against Hampshire and the I of W and Middlesex and 1 loss to Surrey, 3rd in the country! A further huge thank you to James Thomas and Steve Shea for their Captaincy with the boys.
All feedback from Nottingham and my feelings from Queenswood were that we have a very motivated, well educated in the game, fair and competitive bunch of players who know how to behave on court and off ,but who have a healthy determination to win!
Hertfordshire girls team captain Teresa Lilley said, "It was a fantastic performance from the girls, we're over the moon. The girls battled hard through the weather conditions and they thoroughly enjoy playing county cup tennis. They have great ability on the doubles court, the future looks promising."
Many congratulations to everyone involved.
