The 2011 Herts Junior Closed Championships saw some excellent tennis, played by some of our best players from around the county and not one drop of rain fell onto the clay courts at Queenswood for the whole of 7 days of the tournament. No that was amazing for this country!!
Tuesday saw our Mini Tennis Orange players compete against each other and the eventual winners were Indianna Spink and David Latter. On Thursday the Mini Tennis Red players took to the courts, under the expert guidance of Jennifer Keates and Natalia Ilkow, and this event was won by Josephine layton and Oliver Tarvet.
During the rest of the week all of the remaining age groups competed and all other finals took place on Saturday 3rd September. Many congratulations to our 'County Champions' Jennifer Brown and Jason Burge. This is the 3rd consecutive year that Jason has lifted the cup! A special mention also to Tony Nicholson for winning both the 14&U and 16&U Boys Singles Titles.
