A reminder to all members that whilst there is Mini tennis coaching on Saturday’s this is only from 12pm-2pm and is indoors, so as the weather improves the outdoor courts are available for members. We would also welcome the parents of the mini tennis members who may want to try tennis or take up the game again. The Nedgroup Junior OPEN tournament - forms are now available in the club house. Events are: U8, U9, U10, U12, U18 singles and U10, U12 and U18 mixed doubles. Entries close Sunday 11th March -entries accepted by e-mail to ianwatsonpr@manx.net or place your entry form in the white post box.
We are now accepting entries and supper orders for the annual Albany Quiz Night which this year will be held on Friday 23rd March in the club lounge. You can e-mail info@albanyltc.co.uk - entry fee is £5 or with fish & chip supper £12 incl. and sausage & chip supper £9.
Please will all members using the indoor court and having the lights on make sure they are switched off if no one follows you in for a later booking. They have been left on overnight recently and this is an expensive waste of money for the club.

One of our juniors, Charlotte Clarke (12) spent seven days training at an academy in Tenerife during half term - forgoing a very popular skiing trip that her school and classmates went on at the same time! Her day involved two hours of strength and fitness work and 4 hours of tennis training. Charlotte worked with coaches from Spain and Russia (who thankfully spoke English). With the advantage of good weather, there was little downtime and the work rate was very intensive. Charlotte now hopes to put all this practice into good use in her forthcoming tournament in Widnes on 3rd March with her travel costs being sponsored by Nedbank Private Wealth.
