LTA North Region Performance Team – Key Information
1. North Regional Camps (all camps to be held at Virgin Active Lancashire between 10.00am – 3.00pm)
- 16.5.17 – U14 boys
- 17.5.17 – U14 Girls
- 23.5.17 – U12 girls
- 25.5.17 – U12 boys
- 14.6.17 – U10 girls
- 15.6.17 – U10 boys
- 19.6.17 – U9 girls
- 20.6.17 – U9 boys

2. North Region Weekly Training
We use two venues to support players on a weekly basis and provide training for players in the North West (Bolton Arena) and North East (John Charles Stadium, Leeds). The autumn term of training will finish just before Easter and will continue again starting mid-April.
3. CPD Workshops
We provide opportunities for coaches to attend workshops and gain new ideas and education in the following ways:-
- CPD workshops in conjunction with Regional Training Camps. After the very successful workshops held in March on 'Squad training principles' we are looking to hold our next workshop in either July or September of this year. The topic will be developing 'resilience' in our young players. The final date will be confirmed in due course.
- Grant Funded Centre workshops. These workshops are currently being delivered by the North Team within programme development workshops for centre coaches on a variety of topics. The next workshop will be based around 'Under 14 serving' competencies. The timeline for these workshops will be May/June and November of each year.
4. Tournament opportunities.
With May half term approaching, tournament opportunities are as follows:-
- Grade 2 – Halton, 28th - 3rd June
- Grade 3 – City of Manchester, 27th June - 4th July
- Dollomore Junior Open, 28th June - 3rd July
Entries can now be made into these events so make sure you get them in on time.
