Kibworth men's team have secured promotion to the Premier Division of the Leicestershire League for the first time.
Going into the final round of matches, Kibworth were one point clear of Oadby.
And, to add to the excitement, the two teams met in a winner-takes-all clash.
Kibworth edged ahead 2-1 in the first round of matches between the three pairs but that scoreline was reversed for the second round.
So, going in to the final three sets of the season, the teams were locked at 3-3.
Convincing wins by Ben Cramp and Chris Whitmore, and Sam Oldman and Martin Fincham allowed Kibworth to set up a decisive advantage before Mark Robins and Mark Oldman won the final set to give Kibworth a 6-3 victory.
On the same evening, Kibworth men's second team won their final match of the season 7-2.
That allowed them to also gain promotion from their division.
