The Mark Wormleighton U11 event was played on Saturday 11th September at the Dan Maskell Tennis Centre.
Seven boys and seven girls accepted the invitation to compete for these trophies. There was some excellent tennis with some very close fought matches.
The boy’s winner was Luke Tatman (Knighton Tennis Club) who overpowered Harry Amos (Market Harborough) in the final.
Elizabeth Allwood (University of Warwick and David Lloyd, Narborough), the youngest competitor surprised everyone, including herself, by winning the girls’ event beating Olivia Wagstaff (Ashby Castle).
This was Lizzie’s first tournament at yellow ball and what an impressive start she has made!
