What is the Nike Junior Tour?
The Nike Junior Tour is a world class global competition for 12U and 14U male and female players, with over 60,000 competitors taking part in 30 countries around the world. The competition culminates in the Global Finals which take place in December each year.
Included in the list of former Nike Junior Tour winners is current World Number One Rafael Nadal, whilst many of the other participants have gone on to be top ranked world class players on both the ATP and WTA Tour.
How does the Nike Junior Tour work in the UK?
In the UK, players have been competing in the Nike Junior Tour for over four years at Grade 4 events, but in 2011 the Nike Junior Tour will run over the Grade 2 Summer National Tour, which includes four 14U and five 12U events. Leaderboards will operate for both age groups which are accessible in the usual way on the website, all main draw (& main draw consolation) ranking points gained at these tournaments will count towards the leaderboard.
