Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) Course

Friday, October 07, 2011

Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport are holding a FREE CASC course for clubs in Leicestershire & Rutland on Monday 31st October, 6:30pm – 9:30pm at the SportPark at Loughborough University.

It’s estimated that £100 million is lost each year by sports clubs not registered as CASC.  Your club could be eligible for tax benefits if you register with CASC.  Clubs need to;

Be open to the whole of the community without discrimination
Have reasonable membership fees
Be organised on an amateur basis
Have, as its main purpose, the provision of facilities for, and promotion of, participation in one or more eligible sports

If you answer Yes to any of the following questions then this course could help your club to save money;

Does your club pay rates?
Does your club own their own facility / paying rates on facilities they rent?
Accept donations?
Do fundraising?

Clubs are advised to send two club members to this FREE session to learn about CASC and implement it at your club.

If you would like further information please register on the Running Sports website you will then be able to download further information in their taxation and quick guide.

Visit our website to book onto this course.
