What is Gold Challenge?

The charity challenge where you take on Olympic or Paralympic sports to raise money for charity. Choose one of three fantastic challenges and be part of the excitement around London 2012!

Gold Challenge can help us to increase participation in sport and enable local people to be part of London 2012. Gold Challenge has the benefit of being designated by Sport England as part of the official London 2012 legacy in partnership with the British Olympic Association and Team GB.

Gold Challenge can be completed by anyone aged 7 upwards and there are challenges appropriate for individual young people or adults, families, groups or teams.

The Challenges:

Olympic Sport Challenge: Learn Olympic or Paralympic sports by taking on a 5, 10, 20 or 30 sport challenge.  Choose your sports from the list of 30 Olympic and Paralympic Sports then use the Sports Finder in the sports section to find the local club, coach or event where you can do your chosen sport.

Contact the club, coach or event (or ask us to do it for you) and arrange to do your sport.

Sports are completed by:

a) doing at least three hours of coaching in that sport; or
b) taking part in a competitive event.

2012km Challenge: There are three possible levels depending on how adventurous you are feeling:
