Last year's fund-raisers at the Eiffel Tower

A number of brave Grantham cyclists are doing a Charity bike ride for Tennis First at the end of May with the aim of getting to Paris in time for the French Open.

If you would like to sponsor anyone this is the link we've been given:

Tennis First is a registered charity that provides grants for some of the UK’s most talented young players, to help them reach their goal of playing on the professional tour and our target of a world ranking of 250 or better.

Tennis First aims to help the families of our young players by covering some of the costs of coaching, travel and expenses. Some of our successes include George Morgan the 2010 U18 Orange Bowl champion; Oliver Golding the 2011 US Open junior champion and Liam Broady, the 2011 Wimbledon junior finalist, all of whom are on the long road towards 250. Naomi Broady (185), Naomi Cavaday (174), Anne Keothavong (48) and Alex Bogdanovich (108) and Josh Goodall (184) all know what it’s like to sail over that 250 bar.

We are currently providing grants to over 40 kids but, with your help in raising more funds, we’d love to help them more. To find out more about the fantastic work the charity is doing please visit our website (www.tennisfirst.org.uk) or follow us on Facebook and Twitter. Even better, sign up to one of our events and have some fun whilst raising money in the process!

We have a number of fundraising events on bmycharity. Here are a couple of the links: GRAND SLAM QUIZ (http://www.bmycharity.com/grandslamquiz): Have a go at our fun quiz whilst enjoying the excitement of the French Open and be in with the chance of winning six dozen Babolat French Open tennis balls.

ROLAND GARROS CHALLENGE: (http://www.bmycharity.com/kenweatherleyrolandgarroschallenge13) Ken Weatherley, Director of Tennis First, is pulling out all the stops and embarking on the Roland Garros Challenge, a bike ride from London to Paris. If you'd like to support him and help raise us some vital funds, please visit this link.
