Dennis was a regular at Grantham Tennis Club's social tennis mornings and will be specially remembered for his generosity and kindness of spirit.
He won the Lincolnshire LTA's 2010 Award for 'Lifetime Contribution' at the age of 92, his nomination citation mentioning being a former County Player, continuing to compete in international age group tournaments, runner up in world 2010 'Over 90' doubles tournament in California (With Gerry Ellis from London), former '85 and Over' European Indoor Champion, President of Grantham Tennis Club and an inspiration to club members of all ages.
