Your chance to win free family membership of Grantham Tennis Club

Thursday, December 12, 2013

The club has reached 599 members and the 600th will go to a family who wins their competition, allowing all members of that family to play for free every day of the year on the outside courts.

All you need to do is answer the following question: How many bricks (to the nearest hundred) will be used to build the new indoor tennis courts and clubhouse currently being built and due for opening in March 2014.

Email your answer to manager@granthamtennisclub.co.uk or post to Grantham Tennis Club, Gonerby Road, Grantham NG31 8HU or call in to the club. Please make sure you include your name, the other people in your family and the age of the juniors, and a contact telephone number. Closing date Friday, December 13. The winner’s name will be published in the following week’s Grantham Journal.

Competition rules: Entrants must be non-members of Grantham Tennis Club. One application per household. Family membership is equal to two adults and two 18-and-under juniors living at the same address – additional juniors can be added at normal membership rates. The prize is not transferable for cash or to others. Floodlit/indoor court costs not included. In case of a draw, winners will be drawn out of a hat by the club manager. GTC accepts no responsibility for late or lost entries.

Lawn Tennis Association president Peter Bretherton visited Grantham Tennis Club to how the LTA-funded new development is progressing.

He is pictured with GTC chairman Lianne Tapson, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire tennis development manager Andy McFeeters and Clegg site manager Stephen Gasgoyne, standing in front of the new building work that will include four indoor courts, nine outdoor and four mini courts.
