On the first day against Nottingham, we were 2-1 down after the singles, with Matt winning at number 1, Matt and Jacob then played doubles and won to take it to a shoot out.
The same boys then gave a strong performance in the shoot out and won the tiebreak 10-1. In the second match on day 1, against Northamptonshire, Matt again came out on top in his singles, we were then 2-1 down, unfortunately we were unable to triumph in the doubles.
On day 2, our first match was against a strong Warwickshire team and although Matt gave another outstanding performance, winning his third singles of the weekend, the Warwickshire were just too good on the day and won 3-1.
The final match of the weekend was against Leicestershire, a great performance from Will Barker and Matt Gedney saw the team go 2-1 up, but the boys were sadly unable to capitalise in the doubles and narrowly missed out in the shoot-out.
All in all, it was a great weekend and well played to all the boys who tried so hard and did their county proud.
