Lincs 12U boys through to National Finals

Lincolnshire's 12U boys team had a long way to travel to Kings Park, Northampton to win their County Cup Group however the boys are through to the National Finals in Bolton – 11 - 13 July, a journey even further but definitely worth the miles!

Matt Gedney, Otto Jawahir, Euan Bake & Lucas East played some of their best tennis over 28 - 29 June for Lincolnshire and were rewarded for their efforts by coming top of their group. Very well done boys!

12U Girls County Cup

Lincs 12U Girls County Cup team is managed by Laura White and representing Lincolnshire in Group A, at North Oxford Tennis Club were; Rosalind Battey, Paris Royal, Lucy Hull

Lincs played Notts, Northants, Leics and Warks.

Road to Wimbledon 2014 County Final

This year the HSBC Road to Wimbledon competition included entrants from schools plus a new Regional stage for higher rated players, meaning that all players have opportunities to qualify for the National Finals whether they start at club. park or school level or start at the Regional Stage.

12U Boys National Finals Results

Lincolnshire's 12U Boys got through to the National Finals of the Aegon County Cup at Bolton Arena, Friday 11 - Sunday 13 July.

Eight Regional winners took part, the teams divided into two round robins of 4 with the winner and runner ups going through to play offs, 1 v 1, 2 v 2 etc.

Lincs boys came second in Group B so got through to the play off for third/fourth place.

9U County Cup Report

This year the Under 9 County Cup was held in Kings Park Northampton, 8 of the counties best under 9”s travelled over to represent Lincolnshire. The team consisted of Will Cheer, George Burkitt, Hugo Hunt, Ryan Scaman, Alice Gamman, Stephanie Ainsworth, Lois Boothby and Izzy Wookey

GBTW Open Day at 'Washy' Tennis Club

Eight young ‘Washy’ Tennis Club members including club coach Laura White completed a charity fund raising 24 hour tennis marathon as part of the joint Washingborough/Heighington Villages event and Washingborough TC’s own Great British Tennis Weekend.

The marathon started at 2.30pm on Saturday 19^th July and finished a day later followed by an adult round robin and afternoon tea.
