Electric energy at the North East Female Coach Mentoring Programme Launch!

● Only 23% of tennis coaches are female in British Tennis. North East Female Coach

● Mentoring Programme aims to provide guidance, support and experience to help mentees develop as coaches and volunteers

● Mentees from the North East are paired with mentors to help them through the programme.

 

Following on from a very successful pilot in 2016, the North East Female Coach Mentoring programme launched Monday February 13th 2017, at Sunderland Tennis Centre. 

In partnership with the Wimbledon Junior Tennis Initiative, eight female coach mentees from across the North East will embark on the mentorship programme. 

The eight mentees will work alongside their mentors, who will help them achieve their individual goals, aspirations; improving their confidence, knowledge and enhancing their skills.

The programme aims to provide guidance, support and experience to help the mentees develop as coaches and volunteers. As well as aiming to increase the number of female coaches across the North East.

Kate Craig - David Lloyd Teeside

Kelly Edmund - Jesmond/David Lloyd Teeside

Beth Laybourne - Virgin Active Wearside

Melissa Marshall - Newcastle Venues

Rosie Pybus - North East Venues

Terri Wilson - North East Venues
