As Tennis fever builds in anticipation of this year’s Wimbledon tournament, Frome Selwood Tennis Club is again opening its doors to visitors.
On Sunday June 14 the Club is holding the second and last of its free Great British Tennis Weekends this summer. From 10 until 4, visitors of all ages will have the opportunity to see just what tennis and the Club have to offer.
There will be the opportunity to take part in Cardio Tennis, Mini Tennis, a Fastest Serve competition, Free Play and Tennis Xpress. ‘We are wanting to show what a fun and sociable sport tennis is – that it’s for all the family,’ said Club Chair, John Price. ‘Whether you’re re-visiting the sport, considering starting it from scratch or you think your children might like to have a go, we are sure you will enjoy the visit. All the activities are free and we’ll have club racquets available on the day for those who don’t have one.’
Refreshments and a BBQ will also be available.
The courts are situated just off Somerset Road next to the Mary Baily playing fields. More information is available on the club’s website: www.frometennis.net
