The School Games Organisers from Active Surrey did a great job organising the whole multi-sport event and ensuring that teams of leaders from local schools were on hand to help with all the events. Mark Simmons oversaw the tennis activity for the day whilst Tim Pearce was the referee supported by Tennis Surrey.
The weather was fantastic which helped getting all the 33 matches on court. Many thanks to all the scorers who did an amazing job! The pictures show how much energy was exerted by all players. Coming through to win the tournament was ‘Our Lady of the Rosary’. The runner up team was Ravenscote, third place St James and fourth place South Farnham.
Many congratulations to all the teams who made the final and, a big thank you to the teachers, parents, leaders, coaches, clubs, employees and volunteers who supported not just the finals, but all levels of the fantastic Schools Games mini-tennis events!
