The South Wales U10 team consisting of 4 girls and 3 boys travelled down to Torquay on the 10th and 11th of December to face a Flybe sponsored Devon and Cornwall combined team.
The two-day trip took place outside on artificial clay and consisted of drills and skills, relays and team games whilst on the Sunday there were the head to head matches where South Wales were triumphant winning 85 games to 69 in a combination of several 20 minute green matches.
The South Wales girls team consisted of Katie Jones, Erin Oelman, Lily Scaplehorn and Abbie Payton (all from David Lloyd) and the boys team included Jonathan Evans (Llanelli), Lukas Raasch (Swansea Academy) and Alex Hamer (UWIC Academy).
All South Wales players showed determination and drive even in the two hour rain storm that took place on the Sunday and were worthy winners of the event. Well done to all!
