Tennis Wales is delighted to bring the Tennis Leaders and touchtennis offer to every secondary school and FE college in Wales. The offer includes the opportunity to run a Tennis Leaders course for pupils aged13-16, we will bring in a local coach to run the course and are also launching a big incentive scheme to support leaders to log voluntary hours once the course is complete. One exciting bonus of this initiative is to also bring the concept of touchtennis into the school. Touchtennis is a non-traditional form of tennis that can be run in the school hall with limited equipment and it’s fun, achievable and accessible for all pupils. We would like to tag touchtennis onto the leaders course by offering a free taster session to pupils and also provide a 5-week resource for you to continue with touchtennis at your school with the support of the leaders thereafter. We have all the promotional materials to help schools to advertise this offer to create very little additional work for staff.
