Tennis Wales has produced its own iPhone App to provide quick access to information on competitions, league results and tables, latest news, coach education, where to play and how to get involved in the game.
The App is free to download and is automatically updated with information from the Tennis Wales website.
“This is a big step forward in our customer service,” said Simon Clarke, Tennis Wales’ tennis development manager for South Wales, who is managing the project.
“It means people can access vital information much more easily and more quickly.
“We are gathering feedback from people all the time to find out what is working well and what could be added and improved, so that we can ensure the product meets the needs of those using it.
“It’s part of our drive to make tennis more accessible to even more people in Wales,” he added. “We’re offering new ways to play and keen to embrace new ways of communicating too.”
Tennis Wales worked in partnership with Max Price, a 17-year-old programme developer from Newport, who had previously produced an App for Stow Park LTC in the city.
The App can be downloaded free through the iPhone App Store.
