Tennis Wales is launching a series of roadshows across South Wales to help those involved in the sport to provide the best possible service to club members and others.
Starting on 18th November, five Roadshows will be taking place at clubs in Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Aberdare and Haverfordwest.
The first roadshow, at Haverfordwest LTC, will provide information on the topic of ‘Volunteer Recruitment and Retention and Workforce development’.
“The roadshows are designed to reach as many people that are involved in tennis on a day to day basis, such as those running and managing the clubs and tennis programmes across South Wales, said Tennis Wales development manager for South Wales, Simon Clarke.
“The idea is to work with the clubs to understand their wants and needs and then identify the support and appropriate information that will benefit all. They are spread across South Wales taking into account the geographical and regional issues that some clubs may face.”
Various local authority officers have also been invited to help establish positive links with the sports development teams and continue to strengthen existing relationships.
The schedule of the roadshows is as follows:
18th November, 6.30pm-8pm – Haverfordwest LTC
19th November, 6.30pm-8pm – Rhiwbina LTC (Cardiff)
20th November, 6.30pm-8pm - Allt Yr Yn LTC (Newport)
21st November, 6.30pm-8pm – Swansea LTC
25th November, 6.30pm-8pm – Aberdare Cricket Club
