Players from all over Wales were among the winners at the annual Welsh tennis championships, held in Cardiff.
Some 290 players, ranging from under-8 to adult, took part in the prestigious event, hosted by Cardiff Lawn Tennis Club.
Winners came from Cardiff, Swansea, Wrexham, Mold, Port Talbot, Caerphilly, Caernarfon, Porth, Dinas Powys, Swansea, Buckley, Barry, Conwy, Rhos on Sea, Chepstow, and Malpas.
“This is always one of the highlights of the tennis calendar in Wales,” said Tennis Wales chief executive, Peter Drew. “It’s great to see the titles shared so widely around the country – it shows that we have a wide spread of talent throughout the age groups.
“We are now making plans to host the event in North Wales for the first time next year.
“The championships bring together many of our very best players, and it’s also a real inspiration to people of all ages who just want to play tennis recreationally. With new accessible ways to play, such as touchtennis and cardio tennis, which can be played almost anywhere, the sport is reaching a wider public than ever before.”
