Diamond Tennis Academy Ltd (DTA) is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Head Coach position at the BRAND NEW CARDIFF INDOOR TENNIS CENTRE with CARDIFF CITY HOUSE OF SPORT. With Cardiff being voted the #1 place to live in the UK now is the perfect time to join our team. DTA is a coaching company with a passion for community tennis development. We are a coaching club looking to strengthen and expand the number and variety of sessions we currently offer. We also run sessions at a 3 court indoor tennis facility in Llanishen High school and also run sessions in Cowbridge and have a well-organised after-school programme.

The Position:

We are currently looking to strengthen our coaching team and require a coach who has the values of passion for coaching, professionalism and precision to move the company forward. The head coach will have main responsibility for our community programme in schools and with our holiday coaching programme. They will also work on the coaching programme and individually with customers. This will involve developing our existing school programme and bring these players forward at the club venues we work at.   The post is a self-employed coaching position working on the coaching programme, at schools and at match-play events, working with adults and juniors in group and individual basis.

 

 

Remuneration package

£16,000-£25,000. Negotiable according to qualification and experience. Bonuses are paid for excellent performance and squads being full, with high retention rates. A Yonex racket and clothing deal is included with the role.

Responsibilities

  • Work with assistants and leaders on mini tennis programme and competitions
  • Develop the players through individual lessons where appropriate
  • To work on the school holiday coaching programme
  • To report back to the coaching team on the development of players
  • Flexible working hours

 

Personal skills

  • A current and full LTA license/registration for level 3 coach,  with the ambition to progress and develop.
  • If applying from abroad will need to have a qualification recognised by the LTA.
  • Flexible approach, to meeting the variety of demands from beginners, social and competitive players.
  • Self-motivated professional with passion to motivate and engage others.
  • Precision to develop the players’ skills.
  • A full driving licence and car are required.
