At the South Wales Coaches Workshop Tennis Wales launched the Sytner MINI Schools Tennis Tour for 2016. This is an opportunity for 20 venues in South Wales to work in partnership with Tennis Wales to deliver a tennis tour of taster sessions across February/March time for Mini red aged children. These children will then receive invites to a fun tennis festival and once there, receive an enticing ‘on the day’ club membership offer.
For each club participating we are looking to give support of up to £500.
We are planning on launching this project across the whole of Wales and provide taster sessions for 13,500 school children from reception, year 1 and year 2 classes from 150 schools.
On the back of the fantastic Davis Cup Victory at the end of November it is a great time to put tennis at the forefront of as many young people’s minds as possible.

*N.B This offer is on a first come first serve basis and follows the guidelines set in the powerpoint and the application form, for example venues must be registered and coaches must be accredited.
Coaches and their venues must discuss what the membership offer will be for the children, and potentially their families, who access the festival.
