Play Jeannie box leagues to improve your Rating
Players will be matched on Rating and Age
Tennis Jeannie "Virtual Clubs"
Jeannie operates a series of "Virtual Clubs" based around regional club clusters. Players are
invited to Register with Tennis Jeannie and to join the most appropriate virtual club. You will then
be allocated to a box league based on your playing ability and age. Over the duration of a box
league season you get to play each of the other players in your box. For each match Jeannie
nominates a home and an away player.
Matches are arranged on dates and times that are mutually convenient to both players. Jeannie is
your PA. You tell Jeannie when you are available; when you are not available and she will help you arrange your matches.
Match results are submitted to the LTA and will count towards your rating.
Entries are now being accepted for the Strawberry Box League Season.

Junior Box Leagues
The format of the Junior Box Leagues has been changed based on player feedback. Not only is
entry now free of charge but the number of players per box will be increased giving you the
opportunity to play more ratings matches. Jeannie provides you with a carefully selected player
pool. You simply tell Jeannie when you want to play and she will arrange your match.
Jeannie recognises that in today's hectic world players (and parents!) have very busy lives. You are not, therefore, obliged to complete your match programme but we do ask you to respond
positively should an opponent invite you to play.
By playing Jeannie Box Leagues you do not have to give up whole days, or perhaps weeks, to
attend tournaments. You play matches when it is convenient for you.
All players in a box will have the same rating and will be of a similar age to ensure that players are well matched. This also means that all match wins are potential "qualifying wins" with respect to LTA Rating computations.

Senior Box Leagues
Jeannie Senior Box Leagues are also designed around virtual club clusters. The goal is to give
players aged 18 - 80 the opportunity to play competitive singles matches against players from
neighbouring clubs. Jeannie appreciates that ratings for senior players is not always a true
reflection of ability. For this reason we consider other factors when designing boxes to ensure that players are evenly matched on playing ability and age.
