The British Tennis Leaderboards for Winter Junior Competition are now live on the LTA
website. Leaderboards allow players who are competing on the Winter Tours to track their progress, just as the top players do on the ATP/WTA Tours. There are multiple leaderboards now in operation across the three tour levels – Winter National (Grade 2), Regional (Grade 3) and County (Grade 4 & 5) Tours.
There is one Leaderboard for players who have competed on the Winter National Tour. Players who have played in the Winter Regional Tour will find themselves on one of a possible seven leaderboards in the South East, East, South West, Midlands, North, Scotland and Wales, depending on where they are from.
Most importantly each county has its own Winter County Tour Leaderboard from 9U to 18U as the players battle it out in the Grade 4 and Grade 5 events.
In Warwickshire the current players at the top of the Winter County Tour leaderboards at 9U are Warren Bishop and Mia Faulkner. Warren Bishop has played a number of events, most recently finishing 3rd in his round robin at the ORAPR9 event, whilst Mia Faulkner has reached top spot by achieving a 3rd place finish at the recent STA306 tournament in Wolverhampton.
In the 10U Leaderboard Ben Brewster leads the boys and Hana Adler leads the girls. Ben Brewster recently won the event WAR903, whilst Hana Adler won the H&W901 tournament in Pershore, Hereford & Worcester.
In the yellow ball age groups the following players lead the Boys 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U leaderboards in Warwickshire. Ben Mitchell, Luke Styler, Sam Jenkins and Richard Partridge head up their respective age groups. In the yellow ball age groups the following players lead the Girls leaderboards at 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U level. They are Mhari Tyler, Caitlin Knights and Naomi Guzder
The winter season is approaching the halfway stage so there is plenty of time for the leaderboards to change during the second half of the National, Regional and County Tours.
