Evesham stay on top of the Premier Division of the Prudden Summer Tennis League for the South Warwickshire & District.  They did so with a good 3-1 win at Inkberrow.  Second placed Henley-in-Arden were held to a 2-2 draw by their visitors Moreton-in-Marsh who, with this excellent result, move up to equal fourth.  Also in equal fourth, Littleton managed to hold champions Stratford-on-Avon to a 2-2 draw.  This result meant that Stratford in turn remain third.  Finally, as expected, Stratford B recorded a 4-0 victory over bottom placed Claverdon.

Evesham continue their reign at the top by beating Inkberrow 3-1.  The victory was even sweeter since it was away from home.  Top pair for Evesham Dave Hubbard & Chris Francis beat Pete Watson & Gareth Price (Inkberrow) 6-3, 6-1, and beat Matt Knowles & Ricky Allen (Inkberrow) 6-3, 6-2.  Simon Wall & Paul Everatt (Evesham) beat Knowles & Allen 6-3, 6-2, but lost to Watson & Price 6-4, 1-6, 0-1 (7-10) in a Championship Tie-Break.

Henley-in-Arden were somewhat surprise to be held to a 2-2 draw by Moreton-in-Marsh.  The heroes for the visiting Moreton side were Will Hale & Gary Jackson who beat Neil Supperstone & Rich Butler (Henley) 7-5, 1-6, 1-0 (10-6) in a tie-break.  They then beat Ben Summers & Rob Summers (Henley) 6-3, 6-3.  Chris Adams & Brian Lomas (Moreton) lost to Summers & Summers 1-6, 2-6, and lost to Supperstone & Butler 4-6, 2-6.

Stratford-on-Avon were similarly ambushed by Littleton in a 2-2 draw.  The heroes for Littleton were captain Sean Witheford and partner Chris Elliott as they beat Stratford first pair Tim Page & Simon West 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-5) in a tie-break and then beat Callum Bailey & Richard Monk (Stratford) 6-1, 6-2.  Richard Herborn & Andy Reynolds (Littleton) lost to Bailey & Monk 4-6, 4-6, and lost to Page & West 4-6, 4-6.

The final Premier Division match saw Stratford B move out of the relegation zone with a 4-0 defeat of bottom side Claverdon.  Claverdon took two rubbers to tie-breaks but could not convert either.  Mick Parsons & Andy Craig (Stratford B) beat Nigel Bacon & Phil Thomas (Claverdon) 6-2, 6-2, and beat Richard Butler & James Courier (Claverdon) 6-1, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7).  Olivier Rott & Sam Righton (Stratford B) beat Butler & Courier 6-0, 6-3, and beat Bacon & Thomas 6-1, 4-6, 1-0 (12-10) in an incredibly tight finish.

Division One leaders Chipping Campden extended their lead to four points when they defeated fourth placed Ardencote Manor 3-1.  Third and fourth placed Alcester and Pershore lost ground after drawing 2-2 with each other. The next two sides Inkberrow B and Bidford on Avon also failed to gain ground as they too drew 2-2.  In fact Whitnash managed to overtake Bidford and move away from the relegation zone with a 4-0 victory over bottom team Tanworth-in-Arden.

Shipston finally regained the lead in Division Two after they powered past bottom team Alcester B 4-0.  Meanwhile previous leaders Claverdon B slipped to third after suffering a 3-1 defeat to second placed FISSC of Stratford.  Stratford C stay fourth even after being held by Harbury to a 2-2 draw.  Finally, Studley remain in sixth position despite losing to seventh placed Littleton B 1-3.

In Division Three Snitterfield opened up a three point lead at the top as they beat third placed Campden B 4-0, which meant the latter slipped down to sixth.  Meanwhile second placed Studley B were held to a 2-2 draw by Aston Cantlow.  Mid-table FISSC B and Ilmington also shared the honours when they too drew 2-2, both moving up one place and both overtaking Campden B.

Wildmoor stay top of Division Four although receiving an official warning for not submitting their score card against Campden C.  Shipston B also stay second even though they were shocked to be beaten by Moreton B 3-1. Claverdon C held third place Inkberrow C to 2-2 draw.

Finally, in Division Five with leaders Snitterfield B enjoying a rest week, Henley B closed the gap in second to three points after they roundly defeated Alcester C 4-0. HDA B of Redditch jumped to third place after a 4-0 thumping of Pershore B.  Lastly, Henley B slipped to fourth when they were held to a 2-2 draw by previously bottom side Bidford B. These two points lifted Bidford above Pershore B who now anchor the table.
