Performance Coach – inspire2coach, Warwickshire
This is a new position within inspire2coach, based at the University of Warwick Indoor Tennis Centre and Beechwood Tennis Club in Coventry. inspire2coach ltd is a privately owned tennis company which runs tennis programmes at a number of clubs and other facilities in Warwickshire and Worcestershire. The company is also a major provider of coach education in the UK and abroad.
The University of Warwick is an ambitious LTA Satellite Accredited Club with 4 indoor acrylic courts and 4 outdoor artificial clay courts. Beechwood has 8 outdoor courts including artificial clay, hard and artificial grass courts. The role would involve working with the Head of Performance for inspire2coach at both venues working with players aged 7 to 16 including matrix players.
This is a self-employed position. The position will commence on April 26th 2011 with the possibility of an introductory period during the Easter break.
Job Specification:
- Minimum of 10 hours per week working with Performance Squads and other players on the programme
- Working with 6 – 10 players to include tournament visits
- Working with players aged between 7 and 16
- Working with the inspire2coach coaching team
- Performance Squad training camps throughout the year
- Assisting with talent identification days
The opportunity will also exist to supplement the hours stated above with additional coaching on inspire2coach programmes
We are looking for a dynamic person reporting to the Head of Performance with the following criteria:
- Minimum Club Coach Award
- Minimum playing ability of 5.1
- Experience of coaching junior players
- Good communication and organisation skills
- Have the ability to work well within a team
