The Great British Tennis Weekend 17th/18th August

The first ever Great British Tennis Weekend, a way for everyone to enjoy free tennis, is taking place at 39 park sites across the country from August 17-18, to encourage people inspired by an incredible 12 months in British tennis with Grand Slam victories and London 2012 medals.

The Great British Tennis Weekend is the highlight of the Lawn Tennis Association’s summer and autumn drive with over 160 different tennis events.  People of all ages and abilities can just turn up to play with equipment and coaching provided for free. Lots of activities will be on offer including Cardio Tennis – a fitness inspired work out on court – adult social tennis,  women only sessions, LTA Mini Tennis for three to ten year olds as well as short tennis – a scaled down version of the game.
