The Warwickshire County Closed mini tennis red event took place on Wednesday at Billesley Indoor Tennis Centre with over 40 Warwickshire players participating. We also had 12 Tennis Leaders helping during the event scoring on court so the players can focus solely on their game.
We had some excellent tennis on show with a full gallery of spectators watching and cheering on the players throughout the event. Warwickshire Tennis Development Officer Rory McCutcheon was present at the event and very impressed with the tennis he saw commenting “It was a great day with all players getting plenty of matches and an enjoyable atmosphere”.
In the end the boys event was won by Robin Harper who defeated Zach Cale 10-7 with the girls event won by Marina Beckinsale who was crowned champion by finishing top of the event group with Imogen George finishing as the runner up.
