The South Warwickshire Summer Tennis League, for the South Warwickshire & District Area, received “inspiration” for its’ summer season with the news that a local tennis business will again renew their sponsorship for supplying the match balls for the league’s Charity Cup Final and Junior Pay-Offs and Final in 2013.
The business is the local tennis coaching company “Inspire2Coach”. One of the Directors of the company is Richard Marklow, Ex Head of coaching at the Coventry Racquet Centre, while the local South Warwickshire head of affairs is Richard Allen who took over from Penny Garbutt who is now working with Warwick University. Rich Allen’s squad of coaches includes, Alex Woodbridge, Stuart Beach and Gareth Price. Alex runs the Alcester Junior side in the League while Stuart oversees the Studley Juniors. They are also keen tennis players themselves in the Mens’ League at Alcester, at which Alex is captain and Stuart a player, while Gareth captains’ Inkberrow. The sponsorship is for twenty tubes of balls and will run for a minimum of three years which the league hopes to extend after this period.

Fixtures for the 2013 Men’s Doubles league season begin from Sunday 14th April for the Premier Division and Divisions 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, and continue weekly through until 20th July. The Junior League retains it's six Pools of 24 teams and begins its 10th year this month, with the six Pool winners semi-final play-offs to be held at Bidford-on-Avon Tennis Club on Monday, 8th July and the top two teams play a full match Final at HDA Tennis Club, Cherry Tree Walk, Batchley, Redditch on 1st September.
The 12th Inter-League Charity Cup Final will be played off between the Winter 2012/2013 Winners and last year’s Summer League Champions Stratford, also on Sunday 1st September also at HDA Redditch Tennis Club, where there will be a free buffet or barbecue. The Annual League Trophy Presentations will immediately follow these two Finals.
