The May bank holiday weekend saw an amazing weekend of tennis for our 10U County Cup players.
The girls team of Lilly Cliff, Sarah Copley, Cheyenne Fee and Daniela Piani were competing at Lymm LTC. They had three decisive wins over West of Scotland (3-1), Cheshire (4-0) and North of Scotland (3-0). The match against Lancashire was always going to be a tough one and the girls fought hard to finish 2-2, subsequently losing 10-7 on a tiebreak shootout - it couldn’t have been closer, well played girls!
The boys team of Harry Abel, George Burgin, Joseph Mazingham and Thomas Vale were playing at Lytham St Annes for the weekend. Again they got off to a good start with 4-0 wins over West of Scotland and Cheshire. Lancashire was a 3-1 victory and then a close win against North of Scotland 3-2 meant the team had won the league and qualified for the National Finals at Sunderland on 9th - 11th June. Fantastic result boys and good luck in the finals!
