Edgbaston Priory Club, Birmingham hosted the Men’s Division 2a teams this weekend including Yorkshire, Warwickshire, Lincolnshire and Kent.
Friday Yorkshire men played Warwickshire with the final score 6-3 to Yorkshire. The team included Luke Johnson, Jordan Reed-Thomas, Paul Jubb, Clay Crawford, Joe Gill, Elliot Chang, Andrew Atkinson, Richard Crabtree and Joe Newman-Billington. All 3 doubles were won along with Paul, Joe Gill and Elliot Chang winning their singles matches.
Saturday the team were up against Lincolnshire ending in 9-0!
Sunday Yorkshire played Kent, after the first 2 rubbers it was neck and neck at 1-1. Yorkshire then pulling away in the rest of the singles matches to take it to 4-2. With all doubles matches won Yorkshire men beat Kent 5-2.

Graves Tennis Centre, Sheffield hosted the Ladies Division 2a teams this weekend including Yorkshire, Hertfordshire, Lancashire and Cheshire.
Friday Yorkshire ladies played Hertfordshire with the final score 5-4 to Hertfordshire. The team included Sofie Woon, Isabella Hearnshaw, Joanna Craven, Alice Thane, Rebecca Hill, Eve Brady, Victoria Lapthorne and Kim Atkinson. Yorkshire won 2 of the doubles and 2 of the singles.
Saturday the team were up against Lancashire ending in 6-3 to Lancashire.
Sunday Yorkshire Ladies needed to beat Cheshire to stay in Division 2a, with a close start at 3-3 Yorkshire pulled away to a victory ending in 5-3! With a secure place next year in Division 2a.
