The Community Indoor Tennis Centre (CITC) network consists of 52 indoor tennis centres with over 300 indoor and 250 outdoor courts. The first CITC was opened for business in 1987. They are true community tennis hubs, accessible for everyone and are a vital resource for tennis to help increase participation in the sport.
The LTA and the Tennis Foundation are working in partnership to support the CITC network. A new jointly-funded strategy has been agreed to help re-vitalise CITCs through renewed partnering with CITC operators and owners in order to assist the long-term sustainability of the network.
