Despite the tricky weather conditions over the weekend, our 10U County Cup Teams managed to get onto court and do battle. Here is a breakdown of how they got on:
10U Girls: It was a great weekend for the girls as they won all their matches and have qualified for the Finals in Bolton 12-14 June.
Surrey v Kent: 4-4 (Surrey Win in the shootout)
Surrey v Hampshire: 6-2
Surrey v Sussex: 6-2
Surrey v Dorset: 8-0
A huge congratulations to the players, Team Manager Sophie Cockell and coach Karen Cross. Having come out of a very tough qualifying group, they have a great chance of going all the way and adding to Surrey’s success in County Cup this year.
10U Boys: The boys unfortunately just missed out, after losing out to Kent in the semi-finals of their Qualification stage. It was an extremely tough group to be in, and they kept battling on court over the entire weekend.

Surrey v Hampshire: 0-8

Semi Final
Surrey v Kent: 0-6
Although this was not the outcome they had hoped for, they should be proud of their efforts. A big thanks to Team Manager Shaun Malcolm and coach Craig Veal, for all of their hard work over the weekend.”
