Details for the University Tennis Tour 2013 – 2014 have now been confirmed following the success of the inaugural Tour earlier this year.
The LTA approved Grade 3 competitions provide an opportunity for students to compete in matches that can count towards your Aegon British Tennis rating and ranking, as well as the LTA university leader boards.
The Tour competitions will take place at six universities across the country featuring men's and women's singles events. All players are guaranteed a minimum of two matches in their event.
Priority acceptance will be given to all university students aged over 18 but non-university students can also enter and play if there is space available.
James Atkinson, who won the first ever University Tennis Tour event in Exeter, recommends other students get involved.
"I really enjoyed the weekend. I played well and there were a lot of good matches going on. It was a great chance for university players like myself to play ratings and rankings matches over a weekend."
Wayne McGrath, a student at Liverpool John Moores University also competed in the first Tour earlier this year.
"The competition was great for me as a first time competitor and although I was knocked out in the second round, it gave me the chance to play against players better than me which helped my game tremendously and that made it really enjoyable. I hope to see more tournaments hosted in Liverpool and I'm looking forward to competing again in the future."
The first event kicks off at the University of Exeter Tennis Centre on November 2nd and entries close this Sunday 27th October.
