Fourth seed Johanna Konta takes on Veronica Cepede Royg (PAR) in the opening round of the women's singles in America. In the doubles Nicola Slater and Sarah Borwell had teamed up and played the second seeds in round one but were defeated 4-6, 6-1, 10-5.
