Antony Cotterill clinched his second international quad doubles title of the season in Jambes after partnering Australia’s Dylan Alcott to victory at the Belgian Open.

Cotterill, a member of Great Britain’s BNP Paribas World Team Cup winning quad team in May, and Alcott, eased to victory in their first doubles event together, beating Italy’s Giuseppe Polidori and Dorrie Timmermans-van Hall of the Netherlands 6-1, 6-2 in their semi-final.

Second seeds Cotterill and Alcott met America top seeds Greg Haterok and David Wagner in the final and produced another polished performance to dethrone the defending champions 6-1, 6-1.

Success in Belgium brought Cotterill his second major doubles title in a month after he partnered fellow Brit Andy Lapthorne to win their first Super Series title together at the BNP Pariribas Open de France in Paris in at the end of June.

Cotterill made a promising start to his quad singles challenge in Belgium as the fourth seed and world No. 7 claimed an opening 6-4, 6-0 victory over Polidori, but his campaign came to an end against his doubles partner as world No. 4 and second seed Alcott won a closely contested semi-final 6-3, 6-3 before the British Open champion went on to add the Belgian Open title.
