With effect from 1 January 2016 Berkshire LTA has a new Honorary Secretary, Denise Walker, taking over from Valerie Holden.
Denise moved to Berkshire in 1992. Her son joined Latika Junior Tennis Club in Bracknell and Denise was asked to join the Committee. She took an active role as Tournament Organiser at the club for 7 years and became Chair of Latika in 2007, a position she still holds. She was voted Berkshire Volunteer of the Year in 2009 and was a Gamesmaker Volunteer for the London Olympics in 2012 working with the Tennis team at Wimbledon. More recently she has been an active member of the Berkshire LTA Council and has been part of the Club Development team working with Lesley Cundy.
Denise is passionate about tennis and will strive to do her very best for Berkshire LTA. She wants to maintain a closer contact with all our clubs and offer the best service possible. Denise would be keen to hear from you if you have any queries or issues that we can help with.
