Two Maidenhead players have started the year with encouraging successes on the tennis professional circuit. Neil Pauffley, after nearly a year out with injury problems, returned at Exeter with a great Men's Final victory beating first seed Andrew Fitzpatrick 7/6,3/6,6/4 over 2 hours proving his stamina and hard training has paid off. He had earlier had 5 straight set wins in earlier rounds including beating 2 other seeds.
Meanwhile in Bergamo, Italy, Jamie Delgado teamed up with Ken Skupski to take the Men’s Doubles title beating Jonny Marray (GB) & Dustin Brown (USA) in the semi-final and then the Austrian Pair Fischer & Oswald in the final in straight sets.
