Bronze medal for Penzance School
After a very successful Tennis Schools festival held at Penzance Tennis Club on 31st May the winners on the day Alverton school went through to the finals at Newquay on Friday, June 22. Over 3,000 of Cornwall’s budding sports stars took part in the biggest school sport event the county has ever seen - the 2012 Cornwall School Games. The Cornwall School Games saw the top young athletes from every school in Cornwall compete in 25 different sports. Alverton school one of local schools linked to Penzance Tennis Club did very well on the day and won the bronze medal in the tennis.

Well done to the team who are all Penzance Tennis Club members - Zoe May, Rowan Cruickshank, Sam Lancaster and Emilie Boucher.
