Peter Norfolk, OBE, Double Gold Medal Paralympian, Former World No 1 and Multi Tennis Grandslam Champion will be visiting Heron tennis for a very special Wheelchair Tennis Awareness Event.
Peter will be accompanied by his wife Linda, ex-Consultant Physiotherapist to the British Paralympic Association, and head of the Physio team for the GB delegation at the Athens Paralympic games.
The visit will feature a brief exhibition doubles match, and then opportunities for everyone to hit some balls with Peter. This will be followed by a question and answer session and the chance to see/touch gold medals etc.
The aims of the visit are:
- To give as many people as possible the chance to experience wheelchair tennis and to meet Peter & Linda.
- To raise the profile of the expanding wheelchair tennis opportunities in Cornwall and increase awareness for all the great things that wheelchair tennis can deliver for everyone involved.
