16 year old Emma Hurst won the Invitational Aegon Regional Tour Finals at Gosling Tennis Centre, Herts at the end of March, representing the South West and winning all her matches. The toughest match was playing the no.1 seed, Sophia Thomas from Kent who she beat in straight sets 6-3 6-2.
" I was really pleased to win this national event and to keep my levels of intensity going over the two days", Emma said. "I was surprised to beat the higher rated number one seed Sophia Thomas but this gave me more confidence for my last match, and to then win the event."
