Our Over 35 team 2015 of Linden Hardisty, Ben Knight, Jamie Bartlett and Justin Kraushar (captain) were forced to kick their heels on day of the weekend as heavy rain during the week had made the grass courts still unplayable meaning they would be one match down and miss out on playing East of Scotland.
A tough first fixture against Surrey ended up in a 4-1 defeat but the match against Hertfordshire was much closer and despite serious physio work for some team members to keep playing and the support of Surrey who needed Devon to win to assure them of promotion, the result was a 3-2 defeat. Surrey sneaked first place and promotion instead of Herts by 1 set and Devon held on to their place in Division 2.
