The Devon Ladies Over 65’s Tennis Team travelled to St. George’s Hill Lawn Tennis Club to play against Surrey on Monday 18th July 2016. As it was the hottest day of the year to date the ladies were able to play on the Club’s immaculate grass courts.
The Devon ladies were represented by Anne Tait (Budleigh Salterton), Sue Cloke (Exeter), Jenny Doig (Barnstaple) and Sue Doncaster (Bideford). The Devon team lost this fixture by four rubbers to nil and eight sets to one.
Their last match this season will be against Warwickshire on Saturday 10th September.
