The Ladies County Over 60s Team played Cheshire at Exmouth Tennis and Leisure Centre on 16th April. Playing in Division 1 this year, the ladies play both singles and doubles. Anne Tait and Ann Louis took on this role. Anne Tait had a very close first set before eventually losing and Ann Louis also had a close first set but eventually managed to win. Josa Ness and Linda Knight won their first round of doubles but were defeated in the second round. Anne Tait and Ann Louis won their doubles match in the second round and Devon defeated Cheshire 3-2.
The ladies travelled to Southampton to play Hampshire and Isle of Wight on the 12th June. Anne Tait and Anne Louis unfortunately lost both singles matches in straight sets . The doubles pairing of Sara Stott and Linda Knight won their first round match in an exciting third set tie break. In the second round however, both doubles pairs were defeated. The overall match score was 4.1 to Hampshire and Isle of Wight.
