Dorset's Adam Glynn claimed the title at the Winter National Tournament at Bath University at the end of October, and in doing so becomes the British number 1 for the Under 16 Age Group!
This was the first of two Grade 2 U16 Winter National Tour Events. The second is being held in Bolton from the 27th to 30th December. The top 16 point scorers from the two events are invited to compete in the Winter National Tour event which is held at the National Tennis Centre in February.
On route to the final, Adam Glynn swept aside his opposition without dropping a set, before finishing off the tournament in impressive style by beating the tournament favourite and number 1 seed Lewis Roskilly in straight sets.

This was a great win for Adam and it has taken him to the number 1 spot in the U16 National Rankings. It also topped off a good week of tennis as he had reached the Quarter Final of the U18 Winter National Tour which was held in Gosling before being beaten by the eventual winner.
Adam said, “I really enjoyed this tournament and it was fantastic to have Rob Booth and Richard Irwin there on different days to support me”.
We would like to congratulate Adam on this fantastic result, and wish him the best of luck for the next event in December. We look forward to hearing how he gets on!
