The County team have developed new plans to spend more time out & about getting more people playing tennis in 2013.
Following a great year for British Tennis in 2012, which saw Andy Murray winning the Olympic Gold and the US Open title, the local LTA team have finalised plans to get more adults & juniors playing tennis than ever before.
The new plans will see all the team out & about supporting places to play with a number of great new tools, resources and marketing materials to introduce new people to the game.
Zoe Bambridge, Tennis Development Manager said “We had a great year in 2012, and 2013 is going to be even better. We’re looking to train more schools to deliver tennis than before, encourage even more competitive opportunities, invest in more year round facilities and introduce our new Cardio Tennis and Tennis Xpress into the tennis world”.
With over 60,000 more people playing tennis in the UK than 12 months ago, new opportunities will be available to support Local Authorities to maximise the use of their park courts and council run facilities.
